Goto Text Messaging>Settings
This area will allow you to Adjust the text message settings on your numbers. Text messaging capability can be enabled/disabled from here.
Note: Use the checkboxes to change options for multiple items at the same time.
Edit
- To edit having your text messaging enabled click the “Edit” button
- To confirm messaging is enable click the “Enable Text Messaging” checkbox
- To have your messages forwarded to email click the “Foward Incoming Text Messages by Email. Then enter the email address(es) in the “Email” text box. To send to multiple emails each email must be separated by a comma and a space or just a comma. Example: example123@example.com, example456@example.com
- To have an auto response sent, click the “Triggered Auto-Replies Enabled” checkbox
- To enable a default autoreply, click the “Triggered Auto-Replies Enabled” checkbox. Then select which default reply you would like to use by using the “Default Reply” drop-down menu
- To select which text messaging campaign you would like to use, use the” Text Message Campaign” drop-down menu.
- To save all changes made click the confirmation check box then click “Save” button. To cancel any changes, click the “Close” button. NOTE: This feature is billed at $5 per month and $.02 per text message, or 160 characters. Please allow up to 20 minutes for texting to be activated.
Default Text Message Auto-Replies
- To create or manage a default reply click the “Default” button.
- To add a default message click the “+Add New Reply” button.
- Customize your Default Auto Reply
- To name your default message enter it in the “New Reply Name” textbox.
- Then, to add your text to your default message enter it in the “New Reply Message” text box.
- To save your message, click the “Save Reply” button. To close and not save your reply, click the “Cancel” button
- To edit your Default Auto Reply click the “Edit” button
- To delete your Default Auto Reply click the “Delete” button
Triggered Text Message Auto-Replies
- To create or manage trigger words to send auto replies to click the “Triggered” button
- To add a triggered auto reply, click the “+Add New Reply” button
- Customize your Triggered Auto Reply
- To name your triggered message enter it in the “New Reply Name” textbox.
- Then add the trigger word in the “Trigger Word” textbox.
- Lastly, to add your text to your triggered message enter it in the “New Reply Message” textbox.
- To save your message, click the “Save Reply” button. To close and not save your reply, click the “Cancel” button
- To edit your Triggered Auto Reply Message click the “Edit” button
- To delete your Triggered Auto Reply Message click the “Delete” button
Status
When text messaging is enabled this submits a request to the carriers to allow incoming SMS to be delivered. Once accepted by the carriers the status will switch to “Successful” which indicates incoming text messaging is now allowed.
NOTE: Text numbers must be in the status of “Successful” to be able to be submitted via the 10DLC form for outbound capability. This process takes on average 5-10 business days.
Verified
This will inform you if your text messaging from your 10DLC has been verified. Verified means that your 10DLC request has been accepted and you can not send outgoing texts.
NOTE: This process takes an average of 30 days if accepted by the carriers.
Reports
a. To pull a report of your text message settings click the “Excel” or “CSV” button(s), which will download an Excel/CSV file to your computer/device.
